Dan Caine, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. He also strongly condemned the National Trust for Historic Preservation for filing the lawsuit.

Instead, such visits must be hosted in plastic or canvas tents on the South Lawn with unsafe and unsanitary portable bathrooms, accommodations unbecoming of America’s national stature.

President Trump detailed his criticism of the National Trust for Historic Preservation in his posts:
- The organization’s name sounds like a governmental agency, but it is not. The United States stopped funding it in 2005 because it strongly disagreed with its mission and objectives.
- The U.S. Military and Secret Service showed them detailed plans and specifications and explicitly asked them not to file the suit because of the Top Secret nature of the facility. They proceeded anyway due to Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS).
- The upper and lower sections form “one highly integrated unit” — the lower section (underground security facilities) does not work without the upper section, and vice versa.
- The then-President of the National Trust, Carol Quillen, had no background in historic preservation and has been unanimously replaced effective immediately. Through the lawsuit, she revealed Top Secret military features such as the DronePort, endangering national security.
- The so-called “woman walking her dog” near the White House has absolutely no standing. She has no security clearances or expertise in national security or presidential protection, and is merely an activist or serial plaintiff involved in numerous frivolous lawsuits.

The administration has repeatedly emphasized that this is a national security project designed to protect current and future Presidents, their families, staff, and Cabinet members.
