Fox News Media said Thursday that Maria Bartiromo is no longer with the company, thanking her for twelve and a half years. Mornings with Maria ended that day. President Trump called her a “true warrior” on Truth Social that night. Vice President Vance called her a friend and a talent.

Fox gave no reason and called it a “business decision.” On Friday her lawyer, Bryan Freedman, said reports that she was fired or is no longer a Fox employee are “absolutely and unequivocally false,” and that receipts and witnesses would come out in court or otherwise.

Newsletters and papers (Status, Puck, the New York Times, CNN) described a different fuse: a Fox Business executive texted producers that a story tied to China and 2020 voting claims could not air — a sore point after the Dominion and Smartmatic lawsuits. Bartiromo forwarded that guidance to the White House. Management treated it as a leak. She last appeared on air August 9.

网上有人把离任写成“因揭露中共黑客偷了2020选举而被开”，并推论福克斯在给中共打掩护。天网分开写：内部确有禁播令，选题与中国、2020有关；离任与外传内部指示有关。中共是否“窃选成功”、福克斯是否“掩护中共”，没有福克斯或法院的认定，不能写成事实。解密材料可以报，不等于电视台播了就不再吃民事官司。
Online posts framed the exit as punishment for exposing a Chinese hack of 2020, and Fox as cover for the CCP. Tianwang splits the two. There was an internal ban on China/2020 vote stories. The departure is tied to sharing that ban. Whether Beijing “stole the election,” and whether Fox “covered for the CCP,” has not been found by Fox or by a court. Declassified files can be reported. That does not mean a network is free of civil suits if it puts them on air.
六四天网认为： 一家自称保守的电视台，把“中国与2020”变成高压线，这是诉讼恐惧，也是自我设限。把指示外传，是记者越界，也是内部封口被拆穿。两件事可以同时成立。选举干扰有没有、到哪一层，用文件，不用情绪。
Tianwang’s view: A network that calls itself conservative made “China and 2020” a third rail. That is fear of lawsuits. It is also self-censorship. Sharing the ban crossed an employment line and also tore the gag. Both can be true. Whether there was election interference, and how far it went, is a question for documents — not for heat.
