The clip was about six seconds: a wood-paneled living room, a flag, an old set with rabbit ears. Snow on the screen, a flash of President Trump, then color bars. By the next morning the post showed about 13 million views, 18,000 reposts, 58,000 likes.

The White House did not name the next hour. The replies named everything.

Overnight the thread filled with posters and wishes: military tribunals, an emergency broadcast, remigration, freedom on its way to Iran, a list of names for the next Congress, popcorn circled in the official frame. None of that was in the White House caption. It was the public writing the next scene before the house did.

A 24-hour stream on the White House YouTube page and the White House app. The pitch: past moments, announcements, and current administration video in one place, updated in real time. Line on the post: Not every big moment has made it on your TV. Now it can. Digital aide Kaelan Dorr called it the administration’s greatest hits, unfiltered. The first hours ran archive: a July 3 Mount Rushmore speech, the January 2025 inauguration.

The next morning the pipe was already carrying new tape. At about 8:51 a.m. Pacific Time on September 22, the White House posted: missed the president’s speech at the United Nations? Missed the historic Greenland security signing? Tune in to Trump TV at 12:05 p.m. Eastern and watch it in full. The link was the White House YouTube live feed.

The timing of the launch was not an accident. Friday the president barred CNN, Politico, and MSNOW from the White House. Monday morning those three sued. Monday night the house opened its own pipe. Tuesday it used the pipe to carry the UN speech and the Greenland signing. Pool cameras from several networks had already walked off. Trump TV does not replace a press pool. It does not need one to keep the tape running.
