On Sunday, September 27, 2026, a Seattle Bible class taught the fall of Jerusalem and the Lord’s rebuilding of the Temple. The lesson ran from Cyrus’s decree and Zerubbabel laying the foundation, to enemies who intimidated, bribed officials, and wrote to the king until the work stopped for more than a decade. Haggai rebuked a people who paneled their own houses first. Zechariah said: “Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.” And he asked: “Who has despised the day of small things?”
美西时间2026年9月27日主日，西雅图地区查经课讲《耶路撒冷沦陷之后，耶和华重建祂的圣殿》。经文从居鲁士下诏、所罗巴伯立根基，讲到仇敌恐吓、买通官员、告到王那里，工程一停十几年。哈该斥责百姓先盖自己的天花板房子。撒迦利亚说：“不是倚靠势力，不是倚靠才能，乃是倚靠我的灵，方能成事。”又问：“谁藐视这日的事为小呢？”
The same week, Washington finished a large summit. From September 23 to 25 Pacific Time, President Trump received Xi Jinping at the White House: arrival, state dinner, tea, the National Archives. The two sides extended a trade truce by about two months and spoke of cutting tariffs on some non-sensitive goods. They will meet again at APEC in Shenzhen in November and the G20 in Miami in December. The ceremony is done. Much of the foundation work is still on the site.
同一周，华盛顿刚结束一场排场很大的峰会。美西时间9月23日至25日，川普总统在白宫接待习近平：接机、国宴、茶叙、同游国家档案馆。双方延长贸易休战约两个月，并称将就部分非敏感商品互降关税；11月深圳APEC、12月迈阿密G20再会面。仪式走完了，许多根基工程仍在工地上。

Those who returned from exile had seen Solomon’s Temple. When the new foundation was laid, those who remembered the old house wept; the rest shouted. The sounds mixed. America also has an “old temple”: the border, the rule of law, the family, the church, the factory, news that tells the truth. To mourn only its former glory, or to finish one’s own paneled house and leave the public house in ruins, is not making America great again. That is a work stoppage.
被掳归回的人见过所罗门的殿。新根基一立，见过旧殿的人哭，其余的人欢呼，声音混在一起。美国也有一座“旧殿”：边境、法治、家庭、教堂、工厂、说实话的新闻。只缅怀它从前的荣耀，或先把自己的房子盖好、把公共的殿留着荒凉，都不是再次伟大。那是停工。
President Trump fears God. He rebuilds the White House not to keep a brighter paneled house for himself, but to raise the public center of the nation out of decay: so that visible work witnesses to the unseen God, and “Make America Great Again” lands on stone and timber. Cyrus decreed. Zerubbabel moved stone. Those were hands used in history. Repairing the White House can be this generation’s going up the mountain for wood.
川普总统是敬畏上帝的人。他重建白宫，不是给自己留一座更亮的天花板房子，而是把国家的公共中心从破败里再立起来：让看得见的工程，见证那一位看不见的神，也让“美国再次伟大”落到石头和木料上。居鲁士下诏、所罗巴伯搬石头，都是历史里被使用的手；白宫的重修，同样可以是这一代人“上山取木料”的动作。

The work has been opposed from the start. Demolition of the East Wing, the ballroom, and related work was taken to court by groups including the National Trust for Historic Preservation. A lower court once moved to stop construction above ground. The site had been running about 20 hours a day, seven days a week; progress was about sixty percent. In August 2026 Pacific Time, the Supreme Court, 5–4, let the above-ground work continue, mainly holding that the plaintiffs may lack standing. It did not settle every dispute. The resistance did not vanish. It only failed, for now, to knock the plumb line out of the hand. The other fronts of rebuilding America are the same: border, courts, industry, clarity toward tyranny. Opponents change officials, change a newsroom, change a courtroom. The method is not different in kind from the letters in Ezra written up to the Persian king. First make you stop. Then make you doubt that “the time has not yet come.”
这工从一开始就有人拦。白宫东翼拆除、宴会厅及相关工程，国家历史保护信托等组织告上法庭；下级法院一度要停地上施工。工地曾每天约20小时、一周7天赶工，进度大约六成。美西时间2026年8月，最高法院以5比4先让地上工程继续，主要认定起诉方可能没有诉讼资格，并没有把全部争议一锤定音。阻力没有消失，只是暂时没把线铊从手里打掉。重建美国的其它战线同样如此：边境、司法、产业、对极权的清醒——反对的人换一批官员、换一家媒体、换一次法庭，手法与以斯拉记里写公文告到波斯王那里，没有本质区别。先让你停，再让你怀疑“时候还没有到”。

Both parties are campaigning. The midterms are near. If a leader has no visible standing in his party and in the country, people scatter, and the enemy works only to halt the job. Pushing the White House repair in public is a way to gather people again around one fact: we are still building. That is the method of this hour, not the final meaning of the Temple. Standing is a tool, not a throne. If President Trump is under God’s protection and on a commission, the mark is not that he becomes the source of glory. The mark is that the house keeps rising, the people do not scatter, and when the block comes the work is not laid down. Zechariah gave Zerubbabel two sentences together: God says, “I have chosen you and made you like a signet”; and also, “Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit.”
两党竞选、期中将至。领袖若没有党内和全国看得见的威望，人就散，敌人就专门打停工。重修白宫、公开把工程往前推，是在用一座能看见的工地，把人重新聚到“我们还在建造”这件事上。这是眼下的办法，不是殿的终极意义。威望是工具，不是神位。川普总统头顶若有上帝的保护、若在行使使命，标志不是把自己变成荣耀的源头，而是殿继续建、人不散、拦阻来了仍不把工放下。撒迦利亚对所罗巴伯也是两句话并排：神说“我拣选你、以你为印”；同时又说“不是倚靠势力，不是倚靠才能，乃是倚靠我的灵”。
How America is made great again, and how Christ is glorified again, is not an empty slogan in this lesson:
如何让美国再次伟大，如何让耶稣基督再得荣耀，这堂课给的不是空口号：
Be practical. The time is not “not yet.” The time is today. Finish the piece that can be finished: law-keeping, the border, the factory, a pulpit that tells the truth, a home that can protect children. Do not wait for a plan more splendid than the old house to fall from the sky.
务实。时候不是“还没有到”，是今天。把能做的一块做完：守法、边境、工厂、讲真话的讲台、能保护孩子的家。不要等一座比旧殿更辉煌的图从天上掉下来。
Be humble. Joshua’s filthy garments were taken off before the crown was set on. Zerubbabel was made a signet before he could stand. The person who is used is still a person. The glory of Christ is not a decoration for a man. It is that a man is first cleaned, then sent to a work that looks small.
谦虚。约书亚先被脱掉污衣，才戴上冠冕；所罗巴伯先被神当作印，才站得住。被使用的人仍是人。基督的荣耀不是给人当装饰，是叫人先被洁净，再去做那件看起来很小的工。
Do not live in the past. The seventy years were spoken so that people would go home, not so they would stand on the rubble and audit old accounts every day. The past is a lesson: a nation can break, a temple can fall, a people can be carried away; a decree can still be issued, a foundation laid, a lawsuit endured, and the work finished. People should live in this hour, look forward, and receive the coming of God’s kingdom — justice no longer postponed, pardon no longer only on paper, the cut-off no longer unnamed.
不把过去当住所。七十年预言是为了回家，不是为了天天站在废墟上核对旧账。过去是教训：国可以破，殿可以毁，人可以被掳；也可以下诏、立根基、顶住告状、把工做完。人应当活在当下，展望未来，迎接上帝的国降临——公义不再被推迟，赦免不再只写在纸上，被剪除的人不再无人记念。
Haggai said that from the day the foundation was laid, God would bless. Zechariah said the great mountain before Zerubbabel would become a plain. America’s mountains are in view: debt, war, lies, numbness toward sin, and the papers and lawsuits written only to stop the work. A mountain does not become a plain because someone mourns the old house. The plain appears on the day someone is willing to hold the plumb line.
哈该说，从立定根基这日起，神必赐福。撒迦利亚说，大山在所罗巴伯面前必成为平地。美国眼前的山也在：债务、战争、谎言、对罪的麻木，以及专门让工程停掉的公文和诉讼。山不会因为缅怀旧殿而平。平地出现在有人愿意把线铊拿在手里的那一天。
64tianwang records the present so that today is not turned into a footnote on yesterday. God gives life so that a person will live in this hour, do this small thing, and admit that it was not his own might that finished it. Then a nation may be great again, and Christ may be glorified again among a people that does not boast.
六四天网记录当下，是怕人把今天过成对昨天的注释。上帝给人生命，是要人活在这一刻，做这一件小事，并承认做成它的不是自己的势力。如此，国家才有可能再次伟大，基督才有可能在一个不自夸的民中再得荣耀。
