On October 22, Indo-Tibetan Border Police Director General Shatrujeet Kapur said confrontations with Chinese troops continue at multiple locations along the Arunachal Pradesh border. “In the past few days, a situation arose where face-off happened at several locations in Arunachal and it still continues,” he said. This was the first official confirmation of the scale of tensions on the north-eastern border since July.
美西时间10月22日，印藏边境警察局长Shatrujeet Kapur表示，阿鲁纳恰尔邦边境多处仍与中国军队发生对峙。他说：“过去几天，阿鲁纳恰尔多处出现对峙情况，至今仍在继续。”这是7月以来东北边境紧张规模的首次官方确认。
Government sources told The Hindu that since late July, Chinese PLA troops have pitched tents at an elevated location near Asaphila, close to Taksing in Upper Subansiri district, within 6 to 7 kilometres of India’s perception of the Line of Actual Control. The standoff began during routine patrolling near Maja. Both sides pulled back after a brief confrontation, but Chinese troops later returned in larger numbers and dug in. India has increased its deployment. Patrol season in the high mountains ends this month.

Later reports on October 24 noted that Asaphila and Longju remain sensitive due to differing perceptions of the LAC, but defence sources said the ground situation is stable and under control, with no violent clashes reported. Both sides continue to use military communication channels.
10月24日的后续报道称，Asaphila和Longju因双方对实际控制线认知不同而仍属敏感区域，但防务消息源表示地面情况稳定可控，未报告暴力冲突。双方仍通过军事沟通渠道处理。
