At about 4:29 p.m. Pacific Time on September 18, commentator Eric Daugherty circulated Musk’s line. By Saturday the post showed about 2,050 likes and 70,000 views.
美西时间9月18日下午约4时29分，评论员埃里克·多尔蒂转发马斯克那句话。周六显示约2050赞、7万浏览。
Musk on X:
“My guess is that AI roughly doubles US GDP growth next year from ~2% to ~4%. Maybe even more.”

GDP growth is how much the country produces year over year. Two percent is the usual pace. Four percent is a sprint. The Federal Reserve’s public outlook for next year is about 2.4%. Recent quarters have been near 1.5–2.1%. Musk did not publish a model. Tesla and xAI sit in this industry. This is his guess, not a government number.
GDP增速就是国家一年多生产了多少。2%是平常速度。4%是快跑。美联储对明年的公开展望大约是2.4%。最近几个季度大约1.5%到2.1%。马斯克没有公布计算公式。特斯拉和xAI就在这个行业里。这是他的猜测，不是政府数字。
Daugherty added: some people want to choke AI in the middle of this presidency so the success is not booked here — and China is in the race. That is his reading. Musk’s sentence is only the number.
