At 6:21 a.m. PDT on October 5, Eric Daugherty posted that former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt is joining Fox News. He quoted the New York Times for her line: she will bring the network “the unique perspective and candor that defined my tenure with the Trump administration.” The Fox News chief executive said her firsthand experience in the White House and on the presidential campaign trail gives her a distinct understanding of today’s political landscape. Daugherty added that the hire comes after President Trump, this past weekend, called on Fox to be more open about covering wins.
