At 4:07 a.m. on October 7, President Trump posted two items. One is a registration roll. One is a standing hall. A number, and a room that got up.

The Florida item, citing Michael Pruser, says more than 14,000 net voters registered Republican in one month, and that Republicans now lead Democrats by over 1.541 million. The count behind it: 5,603,410 Republicans, 4,061,548 Democrats, a lead of 1,541,862. At the 2024 close of books the lead was about 1.08 million. At the 2022 close it was about 306,000. Registration is not a vote. It is the list the vote is drawn from. A lead that wide does not cast a ballot by itself. It tells a campaign where the names already are, and it tells a voter the shift is not a rumor.

The other item is Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Germany. He told Europe to move back toward Christianity and against third-world migration. The hall stood. The stage in the picture is the Munich Security Conference. He has a speech set today from the Acropolis in Athens on a renewal of the Western spirit. The sentence that travels is the same one: the inheritance, and the migration. An ovation in that room is not an American ballot. It is the outside answer to the argument he is taking into the midterms.

Yesterday he told viewers to watch for the midterm surprise, and said the networks that run the rallies in full are the ones being watched. This morning’s two posts are the usable part. A list that already leans. A hall that already stood.
