Two speeches in the same hall, two days apart. President Trump spoke to the 81st General Assembly on September 22. Argentine President Javier Milei spoke on September 23. Both said the United Nations is not doing the job on the door.

1. Trump: while others talked, I acted

At about 7:46 a.m. Pacific Time on September 22, the White House posted a clip from the floor. Trump said America is back and stronger than before. The line that carries the rest: as president of the most extraordinary nation in history, he has no interest in leaving dangers to grow for another day. Problems that sit only get harder.

White House text from the same day: while others talked, he acted; while others spoke of peace, he made peace; while others ignored threats, he confronted them. He named Iran as the leading sponsor of terror and said he will never allow it a nuclear weapon. He marked the 25th anniversary of September 11 and the third anniversary of October 7 in Israel — a massacre Iran’s leader called a “service to humanity.” The same regime, he said, slaughtered its own protesters this year.
白宫同日文本：别人在说，他在做；别人谈和平，他做成和平；别人无视威胁，他正面打。点名伊朗是恐怖最大金主，绝不允许它拥核。提到9·11二十五周年，以及以色列10月7日屠杀——伊朗方面称那是“对人类的贡献”。他说同一政权今年还镇压本国抗议者。

He stopped the speech to look for Melania Trump. The room applauded her children-first work. That afternoon she announced nations joining Fostering the Future Together, with Starlink as a partner.

2. Milei: a caste of parasites

At about 11:57 a.m. Pacific Time on September 23, commentator Eric Daugherty posted about 1 minute 40 seconds of Milei at the microphone. By evening the post showed about 98,000 likes and 1.95 million views.
美西9月23日上午约11时57分，评论员埃里克·多尔蒂放出米莱约1分40秒发言。晚间显示约9.8万赞、195万浏览。
Milei’s lines, as Daugherty quoted them: the U.N. has become a useless organization whose only purpose is to sustain a caste of fatefully arrogant parasites masquerading as well-intentioned bureaucrats. The alleged defenders of human rights have sheltered bloodthirsty dictatorships and regimes that stone women in the streets. Good people do not think about controlling the lives of their fellow human beings. Those who were supposed to guarantee collective security and human rights failed. They allowed chaos, violence and international terrorism to flourish.
米莱原话，按多尔蒂摘录：联合国已变成无用机构，唯一用途是养活一帮自命不凡的寄生虫，装成好心官僚。所谓人权卫士，却庇护血腥独裁、包庇在街上用石头砸女人的政权。好人不会去管别人怎么活。本该保障集体安全和人权的人失败了，反而让混乱、暴力和国际恐怖主义坐大。

Daugherty wrote that Trump and Milei gave the best speeches in the hall: nationalist first, globalist last. The U.N., he said, cozying up to Islamism and mass migration while attacking countries that want their own borders.

Two men said the same thing in different accents. Trump put a clock on the table: cut the danger now. Milei named the staff: a hall that feeds itself and shelters the people it was hired to stop. Human-rights language on the wall, stone and prison offstage.

The test is not a standing ovation. It is whether Iran still funds terror, whether a border still holds, whether a prisoner of conscience still sits in Bazhong. Huang Qi has been in that prison since the sentence in 2019. A hall that cannot say his name out loud is not a hall that defends human rights. It is a hall that defends its calendar.
检验不是起立鼓掌。是伊朗还金不金援恐怖，边境还守不守，良心犯还在不在巴中。黄琦自2019年判决起关在那里。一座大厅不敢把他的名字说响，就不是在守人权。是在守自己的日程表。
