At about 6:40 p.m. Pacific Time on September 27, commentator Eric Daugherty circulated a picture President Trump posted after boarding Marine One back to the White House. Three words on the image: His Hemisphere. Trump looks down at a globe. The Arctic, Greenland, and the Americas face the camera.

Daugherty added his own line: welcome to the Donroe Doctrine — right-wing governments rising in Latin America; Greenland secured; Venezuela won; Cuba next. All of it, he wrote, for America First.

The picture is the president’s globe. The doctrine is Donroe — Monroe plus his name. The forecast is Daugherty’s line that Cuba is next. Three different things.

The picture puts the Western Hemisphere and the Arctic rim in one frame. That is the yard he has been naming all year.

Donroe is not a statute. It is Monroe plus Donald. In 1823 James Monroe told Europe: the Americas are not for new colonies. After the January 2026 raid that took Nicolás Maduro, President Trump said the old doctrine had been surpassed: they now call it the Donroe Doctrine; under the new National Security Strategy, American dominance in this hemisphere will not be questioned again. The State Department wrote the same week: this is our hemisphere.
唐罗不是一部法。它是门罗加上唐纳德。1823年詹姆斯·门罗对欧洲说：美洲不是再来殖民的地方。2026年1月美军行动带走马杜罗之后，川普总统说旧主义已经被超过：现在有人叫它唐罗主义；按新的国家安全战略，美国在这个半球的优势不会再被质疑。国务院同一周写：这是我们的半球。
Greenland is the piece already on paper. On September 18 he announced a permanent security agreement with Denmark and Greenland: U.S. control over security needs, no adversary base or sensitive investment without written U.S. approval, no cost to Washington, no end date. That is the northern latch on the same globe.
格陵兰是已经写在纸上的一块。9月18日他宣布与丹麦、格陵兰的永久安全协议：美国管安全所需；未经美方书面同意，对手不得设基地、不得做敏感投资；美国不掏这笔钱；没有截止日期。那是同一只地球仪上的北门锁。
Venezuela is the piece already done in the field. Maduro was taken in January. That is fact. He had let Russia, Cuba, Iran and the Chinese Communist Party put people and projects in America’s front yard, and he used oil to keep Cuba’s lights on. In January the United States took him out of his house. That kind of regime is no longer out of reach.
委内瑞拉是已经在现场做完的一块。马杜罗1月被带走。这是事实。他让俄国、古巴、伊朗和中共把人和项目放进美国家门口的院子，又用石油给古巴供电。1月美国把他从家里带走了。这种政权不再是远在天边、动不了。
Cuba is the next station he himself named. On January 5, aboard Air Force One, he told reporters Cuba looked ready to fall; its income had come from Venezuelan oil and that tap was off. He has said he may have “the honor of taking Cuba,” that an operation like Venezuela is “possible,” and that Havana “wants to talk very badly.” Daugherty’s “Cuba next” repeats the president’s direction. It is not an occupation already landed. Havana’s government is still in Havana.

President Trump is not swinging at whatever is in front of him. The inner door, the northern latch, and the southern example are three strokes on the same map.

The inner door is the country itself: border, voter rolls, factories kept at home, power and AI built here. If that door is open, a globe on a phone is only a poster.

The yard is North America and the ice above it. Greenland locked the north on paper. Venezuela showed that a regime which lets other powers into this yard, and feeds Cuba with oil, can be reached. Cuba is the next name on his list — he said so in January. Until something is signed or landed, it is direction, not a finished nail.
院子是北美和上面的冰。格陵兰把北边写进了纸面。委内瑞拉表明：让别人把脚伸进这个院子、再用石油养活古巴的政权，美国现在够得着。古巴是他名单上的下一个名字——1月他自己说的。签字或落地之前，是方向，不是敲完的钉子。
America First in this frame is not a hat slogan. First make America strong and the North American yard quiet. Then the outside can see the line is real. That is not the old “world policeman” who runs every street on earth. It is the owner of this house and this yard, so others stop treating the door as unlocked.
这张图里的美国优先，不是帽沿上的字。先让美国强大、让北美院子安定。再让外面看见：这条线不是口号。这不是旧式“世界警察”去管地球上每条街。这是这座房子、这个院子的主人，好让别人不再把大门当成没上锁。
The globe is the map. November 3 is still the vote that decides who holds it.
