The midterm election is on November 3. The president is not on the ballot. All 435 seats in the House of Representatives are. About one-third of the Senate is. So are many governors, state legislatures, attorneys general, and secretaries of state. This is the sitting president’s second midterm. In past years, the president’s party has often lost seats. The question this year is whether the Republican majority holds.

President Trump has said he is campaigning as if he is on the ballot. On October 11 he wrote that his rallies, already legendary, have made a tremendous difference with the enthusiasm of the Republican Party. They had been waiting for them, even though he never thought he would be doing rallies again. He loves them, the music, and the enthusiasm, and he will always be in favor of what is good for America — and that means the Republican Party.

The next stops are named. Tomorrow, Youngstown, Ohio, for Senator Jon Husted and Vivek Ramaswamy for governor, where the crowds are already waiting in line. Then Alaska, for the re-election of Senator Dan Sullivan, and for Congressman Nick Begich. These are not rallies for their own sake. They are for the seats that decide the majority.

In Clarksville, Tennessee, on Saturday, a voter told a reporter: every day is like Christmas under President Trump. It is an amazing thing to see that he is taking the country in such a positive direction. That is the answer to the line that he has betrayed his voters. The people who stood in the rain did not say they were betrayed. They said the days are better.

The majority is the power to keep the work moving. The border, the law, the factory, the energy, the appointments — none of it holds if the House flips and the committees change hands. A vote on November 3 is not a vote for a face on a poster. It is a vote for which party sets the agenda for the next two years.

President Trump is on the road. The crowds are lining up. The seats are on the ballot. Keep the majority. Vote on November 3.
