President Trump signed unconditional pardons on the stage of a rally in Wasilla, Alaska, on the evening of October 13, 2026. He called two men up — Zachary Czubak and Patrick Fleming — and said he was giving each of the three an unconditional pardon. The third is Mackenzie Spurlock, who was pardoned in July. They had pleaded guilty in 2022 to conspiracy to violate the Clean Air Act. They had removed federally required emissions equipment from diesel trucks so the trucks would still run in Alaska’s extreme cold. Each was sentenced to five years of probation, a $66,000 fine, and community service.

He said they want to put them in jail for 10 years because they fixed an engine. How sick. If you murder somebody, no problem — unless a Republican does the murdering. Then it’s the electric chair. He signed the papers at the podium and handed them to the men. The crowd cheered.

He said the men had been wrongly charged. He gave them the pardon in front of the people who live there.

He treats the law as something that has to serve the people who live under it, not as a net to catch the ones who fix what the cold breaks.
