A Biden-appointed federal judge has ordered the Trump administration to remove three videos from government websites and official social media accounts just days before the midterms. The videos explain border security results, the fact that every Democrat in Congress voted against no tax on tips, and the projected cost of socialist policies. One of them also outlines the plan to send nearly $5,000 to adult citizens if Republicans hold Congress.

Judge Jennifer Rochon of the Southern District of New York ruled that the videos were likely “propaganda” paid for with taxpayer money. She ordered them taken down immediately. Supporters of the administration say the videos report verifiable results: fewer illegal crossings, new investment, and lower taxes on tips, overtime, and Social Security. They argue that informing the public about these outcomes is a legitimate use of public funds, not electioneering.

Taxpayer money should be spent on results that protect the country and the people, not on judicial orders that block the public from seeing those results. The elected president is accountable to voters. He has the authority to explain what has been achieved with public funds. A judge who was not elected does not have a superior claim to decide what the public may hear about border security, tax policy, or the cost of alternative economic paths.
